Regulations on Dress Code and Grooming for Practicum Kitchen Students in the Department of Western Culinary Arts

壹、女同學Female Students

• 頭髮Hair：

• 頭髮應梳洗整齊，以美觀、容易整理為原則。

Hair should be washed and combed neatly, keeping it presentable and easy to manage.

• 不可染髮。

Hair dyeing is not allowed.

• 頭髮務必保持乾淨，避免油脂及頭皮屑。

Hair must be kept clean, avoiding oiliness and dandruff.

• 頭髮長度超過肩膀時，應盤整固定再穿戴廚帽，外觀上以頭髮不外露為原則。 When hair length exceeds the shoulders, it should be tied up and secured in a bun before putting on the chef hat, ensuring no hair is exposed externally.
• 髮夾，髮帶是用來維持頭髮的整齊。大小選擇應適中。

Hair clips and hairbands are used to keep hair neat. Their size should be moderate.

• 實習課時，頭髮往後梳理整齊，以免在工作中頭髮散落至臉頰。 During practicum classes, hair must be combed neatly backward to prevent hair from falling onto the face or cheeks during work.
• 臉頰旁的捲髮勿超過耳垂。

Curly hair along the cheeks must not extend past the earlobes.

• 髮帶是防止散落臉部，並非裝飾用。

Hairbands are intended to prevent hair from falling onto the face, not for decoration.

• 除非醫療需要，否則禁止使用假髮，假眉毛。

Unless required for medical reasons, wigs and false eyebrows are strictly prohibited.

• 不得濃妝豔抹，隨時注意自己臉部、腿部的毛髮是否修剪乾淨。

Heavy makeup is not allowed; pay constant attention to whether facial and leg hair is neatly trimmed.

• 指甲Nails：

• 指甲應維持乾淨，定期修剪。

Nails should be kept clean and trimmed regularly.

• 避免使用指甲油。

Avoid using nail polish

• 裝飾品Accessories & Attire：

• 請穿著素面規定的黑色廚房安全鞋及黑襪子。

Please wear the specified plain black kitchen safety shoes and black socks.

• 上廚房課時，不准配帶戒指、手鐲等其他飾物。

During kitchen classes, wearing rings, bracelets, or other accessories is prohibited.

• 隨時保持制服乾淨清潔。

Keep the uniform clean and tidy at all times.

• 如果配戴眼鏡或隱形眼鏡，請使用無色鏡片。

If wearing eyeglasses or contact lenses, please use colorless lenses.

   四、嘴：

• 隨時維持牙齒清潔，勿存留任何食物、飲料殘渣。

Maintain clean teeth at all times without any food or beverage residue.

• 口氣隨時保持清爽。

Keep breath fresh at all times.

   五、耳：

• 不准配帶耳環，不准配帶誇張或五顏六色的耳環。

Wearing earrings is prohibited; wearing exaggerated or colorful earrings is not allowed.

• 保持雙耳乾淨，勿留存耳垢。

Keep ears clean and free of earwax.

貳、男同學Male Students

一、頭髮Hair：

• 頭髮必須免油膩，保持乾淨。定時清除，整理頭髮。

Hair must be non-greasy and kept clean. Cleanse and groom hair regularly.

• 禁止染色或漂白。

Dyeing or bleaching hair is prohibited.

• 隨時注意勿存留頭皮屑，頭髮長度不可碰觸衣衫的領子。

Ensure no dandruff remains at any time; hair length must not touch the collar of the uniform.

• 鬢角、絡腮鬍等不可留。

Sideburns and beards/stubble must not be kept.

二、指甲Nails：

• 指甲應維持乾淨。

Nails must be kept clean.

• 指甲應定期修剪，並不可超過手指夾（指尖）。

Nails should be trimmed regularly and must not extend beyond the fingertips.

   三、裝飾品Accessories & Attire：

• 請穿著素面規定的黑色廚房安全鞋及黑襪子。

Please wear the specified plain black kitchen safety shoes and black socks.

• 上廚房課時，不准配帶戒指、手鐲其他飾物。

   六、鼻：鼻毛需修剪Nose: Nose hair must be trimmed.

   七、耳：

• 不准帶耳環。

Wearing earrings is prohibited.

• 耳朵需維持乾淨並清除耳垢。

Ears must be kept clean and free of earwax.

參、服裝規定Uniform Regulations

• 黑色的止滑安全鋼頭鞋。

Black non-slip steel-toe safety shoes.

• 黑色棉襪。

Black cotton socks.

• 灰底白格之廚師褲。

Chef pants with grey background and white check/houndstooth pattern.

• 白色長袖廚師上衣 (廚師服上不得塗寫文圖；廚服內著白色、無圖案之內衣)。

White long-sleeved chef coat (No drawings or text are allowed on the chef coat; a plain white undershirt with no pattern must be worn underneath).

• 白色或灰底白格之領巾。

Neckerchief in solid white or grey background with white checks.

• 白色廚師帽。

White chef hat

• 白色圍裙

White apron.

• 白色手巾。

White side towel/hand towel.

• 不可穿帶戒指、手鍊、手錶及耳環。

Rings, bracelets, watches, and earrings are not allowed to be worn.

• 上課時需著整齊清潔之廚師服，下課後依規定送洗。

Clean and tidy chef uniforms must be worn during class, and sent for laundering according to regulations after class.

為了衛生考量，下列情形必須取下圍裙、手巾及廚師帽

For hygiene considerations, the apron, hand towel, and chef hat must be removed in the following situations:

• 上廁所。Going to the restroom.
• 倒垃圾。Taking out trash.
• 離開實習廚房。Leaving the practicum kitchen.
• 用餐時。During meals.

• 凡進入廚房中，不論為前製備或上課，均需著整齊之服裝儀容入內，違反上述規定之學生，任課教師除在點名簿上，應登記服儀不整外，並應扣減授課科目平時成績。Anyone entering the kitchen, whether for pre-prep work or for class, must enter in neat uniform and grooming. For students who violate the above regulations, the course instructor shall not only mark them as "improper grooming" on the attendance roster but also deduct points from their continuous assessment score for the course.
• 本規定經系務會議通過實施，修正的亦同。

These regulations are approved and implemented by the Departmental Affairs Meeting; the same applies to future amendments.
