西餐廚藝系畢業條件B、C類專業證照輔導機制及配套方案

Guidance Mechanism and Supporting Measures for Category B and C Professional Certifications of Graduation Requirements, Department of Western Culinary Arts

此方案適用於104學年度(含)前入學之學生

This scheme applies to students admitted in or before Academic Year 104

一、為使本系「畢業條件標準表」能順利推動，訂定以下配套措施。

In order to smoothly promote the Department's "Graduation Requirement Standards," the following supporting measures are established.

二、 本系畢業條件標準A、B、C類說明如下：

(一) A類為英文能力，依本校「四技日間部學生英文能力檢定實施要點」辦理；由通識中心語文組負責追蹤及輔導。

(二) B、C類專業證照由本系追蹤及輔導。

(三) 畢業條件標準表目前暫緩適用於陸生、外籍生及僑生。

2、Descriptions of Categories A, B, and C of the Department's graduation requirement standards are as follows:

(1)Category A refers to English proficiency, which shall be handled in accordance with the   university's "Implementation Guidelines for English Proficiency Test for Four-Year Day Division Students"; the Language Division of the General Education Center is responsible for tracking and counseling.

(2) Category B and C professional certifications shall be tracked and counseled by this Department.

(3) The graduation requirement standards table is currently suspended for Mainland Chinese students, international students, and overseas Chinese students

三、 本系畢業條件審核程序如下：

     (一) A類語文證照於語文訓練組登錄通過後，提供影本由本系留存。

     (二) B、C類於四年級下學期，2月份前持正本、影本證照至本系登錄

3、The review procedure for the Department's graduation requirements is as follows:

(1)After Category A language certifications are registered and approved at the Language Training  Division, a photocopy shall be provided to the Department for record-keeping.

(2) For Categories B and C, students must present original certificates and photocopies to register with the Department before February of the second semester of their senior year.

四、 補救措施：

Remedial Measures

• 已取得西餐丙級證照者(尚缺1張證照)：

For those who have obtained the Class C Western Culinary Arts Certification (lacking 1 certification):

         1、若未取得證照規定之人數達開課門檻，本系則加開B類專業證照相關課程補救教學。

If the number of students who have not met the certification requirement reaches the course opening threshold, the Department will offer additional remedial courses related to Category B professional certifications.

         2、若未取得證照之人數未達開課門檻，則轉介本校推廣中心補修相關課程，結業後以本校推廣中心所開之相關餐飲課程或證照輔導結業證書，證明已完成課程之學習，得視為符合本系畢業條件標準。

If the number of students who have not obtained the certification does not reach the course opening threshold, they will be referred to the university's Extension Education Center to take relevant courses. Upon completion, the certificate of completion for relevant catering courses or certification guidance courses offered by the Extension Education Center can serve as proof of learning, which may be regarded as meeting the Department's graduation requirement standards.

         3、尚缺1張證照者，如英語能力檢定相當於TOEIC 500(含)以上，則視同擁有一張A類及一張B類證照。

For those who are still lacking 1 certification, if their English proficiency test score is equivalent to TOEIC 500 or above, it shall be deemed as holding one Category A certificate and one Category B certificate.

         4、本校課程規劃中已有西式糕點製作、飲料調製、中餐烹調、進階法文......等供同學選修強化各項證照考試技能，以作為輔救教學，歡迎同學選修。

The university's curriculum plan already includes elective courses such as Western Pastry Making, Beverage Preparation, Chinese Culinary Arts, Advanced French, etc., for students to strengthen skills for various certification exams as remedial teaching; students are welcome to enroll.

• 未取得西餐丙級證照者(尚缺2張證照)：

For those who have not obtained the Class C Western Culinary Arts Certification (lacking 2 certifications):

         1、若未取得證照規定之人數達開課門檻，本系則加開B類專業證照相關課程補救教學。

If the number of students who have not met the certification requirement reaches the course opening threshold, the Department will offer additional remedial courses related to Category B professional certifications.

         2、若未取得證照之人數未達開課門檻，則轉介本校推廣中心補修相關課程，結業後以本校推廣中心所開之相關餐飲課程或證照輔導結業證書，證明已完成課程

            之學習，得視為符合本系畢業條件標準。

If the number of students who have not obtained the certification does not reach the course opening threshold, they will be referred to the university's Extension Education Center to take relevant courses. Upon completion, the certificate of completion for relevant catering courses or certification guidance courses offered by the Extension Education Center can serve as proof of learning, which may be regarded as meeting the Department's graduation requirement standards.

     (三)本補救措施僅適用考證兩次向未取得證照，並提出兩次未取得證照之證明及四年級下學期(含)後所取得之相關證明。

(3) These remedial measures only apply to students who have taken the certification exams twice and failed to pass, and who submit proof of two failed attempts as well as relevant supporting documents obtained after (and including) the second semester of their senior year.

     (四)不得以選修過的課程申請抵免。

(4) Previously taken elective courses cannot be used to apply for course exemptions or waivers.

     (五)英文能力補救措施

(5) Remedial Measures for English Proficiency:

         大四第一學期期末考前已參加校外英文能力測驗兩次(含)以上而未通過者，得經由系主任同意，於大四第二學期或寒暑期依照學校收費規定付費，修習由通識教育

         中心語文訓練組開設之「英文檢定輔導」課程(0學分36小時)，通過課程考試者等同通過本校英文能力檢定。 

Students who have taken off-campus English proficiency tests two or more times before the final exam of the first semester of their senior year without passing may, with the approval of the department chair, pay tuition fees according to university regulations during the second semester of their senior year or during winter/summer breaks to enroll in the "English Proficiency Test Remedial Course" (0 credits, 36 hours) offered by the Language Training Division of the General Education Center. Those who pass the course exam shall be deemed as having passed the university's English proficiency test.
